Cookie Policy

Effective date: 20 April 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how CanarHost Cloud (“CanarHost”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with the public website. It is intended to reflect the requirements of Article 22.2 of the Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (“LSSI”), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (“LOPDGDD”), and the ePrivacy framework as interpreted by the competent European and Spanish authorities.

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal data more generally.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

For this policy, “cookies” means cookies and similar technologies that store or access information on your device, such as browser storage, pixels, tags, SDK-based identifiers, or similar tracking technologies where applicable.

2. Current approach on the public website

Our public website is intended to operate without advertising or analytics cookies by default.

Where strictly necessary technical cookies or similar technologies are used to provide the service expressly requested by the user, or to ensure basic website security and integrity, they may be used without prior consent to the extent permitted by law.

If we introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will request prior valid consent before placing or reading them, except where a legal exemption clearly applies.

3. Categories of cookies we may use

Where consent is required:

  • non-essential cookies will not be used before consent is obtained;
  • accepting and rejecting cookies must be presented in a clear, prominent, and balanced way;
  • rejecting cookies will not be made more difficult than accepting them;
  • consent will be requested separately by purpose where appropriate;
  • pre-ticked boxes, silence, inactivity, continued browsing, or scrolling will not be treated as valid consent;
  • consent may be withdrawn at any time, and the withdrawal mechanism should be as easy to use as the acceptance mechanism;
  • if the purposes, technologies, or third parties change materially, we will ask users to make a fresh choice;
  • we aim to refresh stored consent choices at appropriate intervals and, as a good compliance practice, not later than 24 months unless an earlier refresh is required.

We do not require acceptance of non-essential cookies as a condition for accessing the public website, unless a legally permissible model is used that offers a genuine equivalent alternative and is clearly explained to the user.

5. Information we will provide when optional cookies are used

If non-essential cookies are introduced, we will update this policy and the consent interface so that users can see, at an appropriate level of detail:

  • the identity of CanarHost and, where relevant, the third parties involved;
  • the categories and specific purposes of the cookies or similar technologies;
  • whether they are first-party or third-party technologies;
  • their duration or retention period;
  • whether associated personal data may involve international transfers;
  • how to accept, reject, configure, and later withdraw consent.

Where third-party technologies are used, we may also provide links to the relevant third-party notices or settings, but CanarHost will remain responsible for ensuring that the overall information and consent framework on our website is legally adequate.

6. Third-party cookies and embedded services

If we embed third-party services such as video, chat, maps, marketing, analytics, or payment-related tools on pages that are publicly accessible, those services may attempt to place or read cookies or similar identifiers.

Where those technologies are not strictly necessary, we will seek to block them until the required consent has been given, or present them in a way that avoids unlawful activation before consent.

7. How to manage cookies

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting existing cookies and blocking future storage. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies or related technologies may affect website security, functionality, or the availability of requested services.

If and when a cookie settings tool is made available on the website, you may also use that tool to review or change your choices.

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes, including changes to the technologies used on the website or to the guidance of supervisory authorities. The version published on this page will show the effective date.

If a change materially affects the use of non-essential cookies or the third parties involved, we will update the consent experience and request a new choice where legally required.
